Domney Design recently released a version of SlideShowPro for Lightroom. Being a Lightroom gallery developer, I purchased it more for evaluation than for use. When it comes for Flash image galleries, MonoSlideshow and SlideShowPro are really the only two galleries that can compete with each other, being the two galleries with the most robust feature sets available.

Without going into detail ... having now used both, and while SlideShowPro has Director going for it, I'd have to say that MonoSlideshow beats the pants off of SlideShowPro in just about every way imaginable.

And it's all the easier to use for those not wanting to get into code in that XML preferences can be configured and downloaded online from the Demo page. Awesome!

That's my opinion anyway, so I thought I'd throw it out there and give Monokai a big slap on the back for his excellent software and support.

Yes, I would agree too. I really like Director for slideshowpro though - it allows me to have a single repository of my images.

Director has an API that allows access to the images - would it be possible for Mono to act as the frontend for images stored on Director?

Also, I've figured out how to do a fluid layout with SSP, is there a way to do this with Mono? Here are a couple of example sites I've implemented using SSP and AS3:
