Hi everyone,

I just finished setting up monoSlideshow at HuizePicasso.nl. It's a site for our student's dorm, mainly meant to give everyone information about the current and previous tenants and to announce house parties. I previously used Slideshow Pro but I didn't like it's gallery interface; I needed something simpler and prettier. I also liked monoSlideshow's Ken Burns effects and the easy way it uses multiple xml files without directly editing the flash component.

There's a small automatic slideshow with 2 to 4 pictures on every page, and a full gallery page using monoSlideshow. I didn't change the example code much, but I'm actually quite satisfied as is! I used all the old files from Slideshow Pro, edited the original XMLs to monoSlideshow's standards and everything worked absolutely fine. Couldn't be happier!

    Hey guys,

Like I said above, we also use the page to announce new house parties. We've got one coming up in May with the theme Miami Vice that I rigged up a new site for. I'm using a fairly basic Monoslideshow setup as a header and a photo gallery on this site. Nothing spectacular, but it does what it needs to.

That's a nice site, and a nice idea in general! I like the simple layout and the very fact that you included slideshows in it. The only thing that disturbed me were the photos - they are a little blurred and... well... messy. But maybe just it's me that I like this kind of hospital-ward sterility and cleanliness. If you wanted to render the careless and relaxed atmosphere at your dorm, you surely suceeded.

    Regards
