I know this is an old request, but seeing I've got horizontal and vertical images in different sizes, a css border or image margins won't do the trick. Could you please provide an update in which you add something like imageBorderWidth (pixels) and imageBorderColor (hex) as modifiers? Pretty please?

forget about updates, it doesn't seem likely to me to get this in reasonable time. Help yourself with a simple Photoshop script, add the borders at part of the images and then display the modified images.
