I have been reading through the discussions, thinking about purchasing MSS - sort of weirded out after flipping through the manual though. Seems like a bit more technical jargon than I might be capable of. Can anyone shed some light on this for me and help me make my decision. How's the user interface, what type of user interface is there? Or is it all hard code? From what I got out of the manual, there was quite a bit of manual hardcoding that must take place in order to make modifications. If anyone can advise me on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

There are two areas of complication: The XML (where you define what MSS shows and how) and the (X)HTML where you call MSS. For the XML, if it's not a one-off, I'd always use Lightroom and The Turning Gate's add-on.
As for the (X)HTML, if you ignore the manual and copy/paste working examples from this forum or live website, you should be done quickly.

Thanks Christoph - I do not have Lightroom unfortunately. Do you see this as being a hinderance on the performance or me utilizing the app? I would like to see some screenshots of the actual MSS app itself. I like the idea of being able to use it in conjunction with Flickr also.

    Hi,
you don't <em>need</em> Lightroom and TTG's extension, it just makes it easier. There are a lot of threads in this Forum on Flickr integration, and if you filter for "showcase" threads, you'll find loads of examples.

Christoph - much appreciated on the info! I played with the demo a bit more and will look into getting a copy this weekend. Looking forward to it.
