I usually work with FF and Chrome but lately I have updated my laptop with some new Microsoft software, Internet Explorer 8 among others. Just today I opened my www site www.vanessa.com.pl to find that my monoslideshow in IE8 shows blank spaces. It looks as if it were working on sliding pictures but you cannot see the pictures! I have also some other flash movie on the same page which in IE8 is just a white rectangular hole.

I had no trouble with Firefox, no problems with Chrome and surprisingly no problems with IE7 but now I start to think if should remove monoslideshow from my site as there will be more and more people downloading IE8 and my main page will not be looking professional. I hope you find some workaround.

By the way: I cannot open www.monoslideshow.com with IE8! I could not open any other page mentioned in this forum where monoslideshow was used: www.ungheria.it or www.theturninggate.net/photoblog for example. I am writing this post using Chrome. Someone should find a fix otherwise our pages will not be accessible at all !

Obviously the Flash plugin for IE8 is not installed correctly; please note this has to be done separately even if the Flash plugin for IE7 has been installed previously.
Just install Flash and everything should work, and think twice before blaming others.

Christoph, don't patronize me, will you ? I have other flash instances on the site and they do work.

Next thing I noticed: I used monoslide on Joomla 1.0 and it worked ok with no problems at all on every browser. With Joomla 1.5 I get this well-known error "Operation aborted" on IE6 and IE7. Can somebody tell me what to do/change so it works okay?

As for "Operation aborted" error on IE6 and IE7, I used vicious7 method to overcome the issue.
