There's a gif here which permanently stays on the top of the album: http://www.aptana.com
I've looked all through their monoslideshow.xml file and can't see how they did that.
Do you think they amended the FLA ?
I think they did it with "markFile", which permanently stays on top of the slideshow.
creator of MonoslideshowWeird it's another swf instead of a gif ?
Ah well, will have a fiddle with it and am sure it'll become clear ! Thanks for quick response....
I did it by following the manual. I just created a PNG with transparency, then embedded that in a .swf exported as Flash 8 compatible (per the manual instructions). Then I set that .swf as the overlay image on the slideshow. Very simple and very effective. Thanks for a great product! www.aptana.com
I only have flash v6... I can only export for v6. Will that work? I tried it and couldn't get it to work, so I was assuming that was the problem... If that is indeed the problem, would someone be nice enough to create a swf for me from the following file?
http://wepc.org/cutoutframe.png
and email me at brian [dot] zollinhofer [at] gmail [dot] com ? That would be wonderful...
I must be missing something. I downloaded the Flash 8 Demo and tried this and the mark still showed up as opaque...
I created a 24 png (you can see it at the above address...) and then I imported it into a flash 8 file. I resized the flash document I was working with to match the dimensions of my overlay (mark). I then exported it as an image and then again as a movie (not changing any options while saving) and neither worked. What am I doing wrong?
Nevermind, I was missing something. I didn't realize I needed to add a line in the monoslideshow.xml file under the preference tag to call the mark. I'm not sure how I thought it was going to get there, but I finally figure it out. I hate missing stupid easy steps...
