I was wondering if its possible to communicate between two .swf via xml. I know there's a way to implement a code in the actionscript of a .swf that will allow one .swf to communicate information to another .swf. Since monoslideshow doesn't come with the actionscript.... how do I go about this in modifying my .xml to communicate between "monoslideshow.swf" and another .swf file?
What I want to do is display my photos ,etc on "monoslideshow.swf" and link each photo to a separate .swf, in this case "discription.swf", where it will provide a brief description of the photo and many other details. I could just add a description to the photo in "monoslideshow.swf" but I don't want the photo to be ruined by covering it up with text. So can this be done? what codes would I need in the XML file?
What you want can be achieved by linking each photo, etc. to a page with the respective description.swf placed on it. Check out the description on p20 of the manual.
