Hi!

I've bought monoslideshow a couple of months ago, and I've been happily working with it, but now I need to do something that can't yet figure out how to do, I need the showcase to display small images of the other images, and when selected, they show you that image, you can see what I'm talking about with this link:

http://www.comingsoon.net

I want my monoslideshow to be displayed like that, but changing the number of buttons it displays. Could somebody help me please?

Thanks in advance!

hi -

i'm very new to Flash and javascript. i've had a read through the manual (using v2.14) but haven't found exactly how to do what i want - the section on the API looks promising but i don't know enough to be clear if it answers my questions...

originally, i wanted to include some descriptive text along with the thumbnails, but i haven't found any such option...

therefore, i thought i could use text links, appearing to one side of the slideshow by the thumbnails (there are only a few images in this slideshow). specifically, i want these text links, when clicked, to cause the slideshow to jump to specific images, and i also want, if possible, to cause the appropriate thumbnails to be highlighted when the links are moused over.

i hope that's clear! can anyone help me - in layman's terms - understand how to accomplish this in Monoslideshow, or at least point me to a relevant tutorial or manual?

many thanks indeed,

Works 100%; however I have no idea on now to make links open in new window...
1) I've tried to put a "target" attribute into every tag; none succeeded;
2) I've tried to intercept the click event (through swf.addListener("itemClick",...)). I canopen links in new window this way, but it also navigates away in the main page :(

Am I missing something?

Has anyone got an example of how to change the background music via JavaScript? I can't find anything that suggests the API specifically supports this in an elegant way but the manual suggests something crude like this should work, but it doesn't:

function ChangeTrack (input_TrackNumber)
{
var flashvars = {dataFile: "/resources/media/music/playtrack.asp?iTrack=" + input_TrackNumber, showLogo: "false", showRegistration: "false"};
swfobject.embedSWF("/resources/plug-ins/monoslideshow/monoslideshow2.05/monoslideshow.swf", "idMusicPort", "1", "1", "9", false, flashvars, params, attributes);

Is it possible to point Monoslideshow to the images without writing them down in the xml-file.
I want to use multiple MSS on my blog. Each MSS needs his own xml-file with the images. It would be nice when I could make one xml-file with all the preferences and that I could put the link to the images in the html-code.

Possible?

I won't be having the html pages that call up the slideshows stored in the same directory as monoslideshow.swf, monoslideshow.xml, and swfobject.js. Furthermore, the xml file calls up a flickr set. So, basically I'm trying to get this html working with absolute pathing so it doesn't matter where it exists, as long as it can call up the location of swfobject.js and monoslideshow.js. However, when I test this online, by placing the html test page in a separate directory from all of the slideshow files, it gives me a security error

http://www.metaversatility.com/images/slideshow/test.html

that is getting its photos from this flickr set...

the flickr set includes a video, and i don't see the video coming up in the slides... at best i've seen a thumbnail image of the video. Is this functionality simply not in place? thanks

The manual shows how to specify the the width and the heigth in the browser window.

This setting works: swfobject.embedSWF("monoslideshow.swf", "flashContent", "100%", "600", "10", false, flashvars, params, attributes);
but this one doesn't: swfobject.embedSWF("monoslideshow.swf", "flashContent", "100%", "100%", "10", false, flashvars, params, attributes); all it shows is a heights of (guessing) a few hundred pixels.

How can I get full width AND heigth?

Hi all,
I was wondering what exactly the option "followImageLinks" will do if it's enabled...
Will the user be able to click on an image and open it in a new browser window? and will I be able to choose the URL for each image? so that maybe I can point each image to a larger version of the image.

Thanks.

How do I create spacing between the indivudual thumbnails? I've tried the margin, padding, and iconMargin elements under Thumbnail navigation. However these create space about the entire row of thumbnails, but not in between each individual thumbnail. Any help, (with a code example) would be appreciated.
