			<![CDATA[<p>I am new to monoslideshow so to get going I used the sample index.html file and did minimal changes to get used to it. Then I copied the code into the destination site I am working on. The problem is the small test file works great, but when in the other webpage it all works except for the controller bar! The only guess I have is that I have some code in the non-working page that is conflicting (?) I honestly don't know where to begin to try to discover the problem. Both the pages call the same 3 files (xml, swf and .js) as well as use the same image files to display.</p>
<p>links:<br />
working page:<br />
<a href='http://www.f7digitaldesign.com/twd/index.html'>http://www.f7digitaldesign.com/twd/index.html</a><br />
non-working:<br />
<a href='http://www.f7digitaldesign.com/twd/eddys_test2.html'>http://www.f7digitaldesign.com/twd/eddys_test2.html</a></p>
<p>Any help is very appreciated! Thanks!</p>

		<title>Monoslideshow and Mobypicture</title>

		<description>
			<![CDATA[<p>Here's an example of how to use Monoslideshow in combination with Mobypicture:</p>
<p><a href='http://www.monoslideshow.com/public/mobypicture/'>http://www.monoslideshow.com/public/mobypicture/</a></p>
<p>Mobypicture stores pictures uploaded from mobile phones, which optionally can be tagged. Mobypicture serves Media RSS type feeds that aggregate photos by a single tag. The URL is composed in the following format: "http://www.mobypicture.com/rss/your_tag/group.rss". Monoslideshow can read these Media RSS type feeds.</p>
<p>The example above loads any feed based on your input. It uses Javascript to dynamically build the .XML content needed to load the specific RSS feed. Additionally, if a tag doesn't contain any items, an error event is dispatched from Monoslideshow, which is caught again by Javascript to display a custom error message.</p>
<p>Have a look at the source code of the web page to see how things work in detail.</p>

			<![CDATA[<p>Monoslideshow 2.12 has been released. You can download this new version in the user area for free. Changes:</p>
<p>[NEW] added attribute "position" and "margin" to the item and video tag, to be used when scaleMode is set to "none"<br />
[NEW] added attribute "condenseWhite" to the caption title and description tags, to condense white space in case of complex xml nodes in text<br />
[NEW] added a new tag "firstTransition", that if its "type" is set, defines a transition that only plays the first time the slideshow starts up<br />
[NEW] you can now control font grid fit type with the attribute "gridFitType" in the caption nodes, useful for crisp pixel fonts<br />
[FIXED] fixed a bug where the controller buttons weren't updating correctly</p>

		<description>
			<![CDATA[<p>Hi Everybody</p>
<p>I have finished creating a new site that uses Mono Slideshow. It incorporates albums that feature a combination of flv's and images. Everything works fine locally, including the loading and playing of the flv files. Today I uploaded the entire site to a web server (before going live) but the albums with flv videos are not playing.</p>
<p>The index page is a good example. It contains both an opening flv then a set of images. The flv does not play and there is no error message - all I get is the question mark. If I hit the next button the next album (that contains only images) plays fine. The flv on the index page is only 1MB in size.</p>
<p>You can see an example here: <a href='http://d1588862.domaincentral.com.au/index.html'>http://d1588862.domaincentral.com.au/index.html</a></p>
<p>None of the flv's are playing.</p>
<p>I have not "gone live" with the new site yet because I wanted to test that all the videos played fine.</p>
<p>Does anybody have any advice on what might be going wrong here. As there is no error message, I am unsure what the issue might be. As mentioned previously everything works fine locally but the videos dont play and there is no error message.</p>
<p>Any help or advice would be much appreciated.</p>

			<![CDATA[<p>Hi! </p>
<p>First of all, let me thank u for a sweet lookin' gallery! I've been searching around for something like this in ages! :)<br />
But I need some assistance for my setup. I'm pretty noob to AS3, so I'm not sure what's wrong.<br />
I've read the manual like 10 times, and searching google non-stop for several days now, but I can't find a solution.</p>
<p>For example when I'm using the actionscript from the manual:</p>
<code>
var loader:Loader = new Loader();
var monoslideshow:Object;
loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete);
addChild(loader);
loader.load(new URLRequest("monoslideshow.swf"));
function onLoadComplete(event:Event):void {
	monoslideshow=event.target.content;
	monoslideshow.setViewport(new Rectangle(50, 50, 480, 360));
	monoslideshow.loadDataFile("monoslideshow.xml");
}
</code>
</p>
<p>I get the following errors in the output window:</p>

			<![CDATA[<p>I've reviewed all the forum entries I could find related to Flickr Sets, and couldn't get the answer I'm looking for (especially for the current version of Monoslideshow, which doesn't use CDATA.)</p>
<p>The main reason I purchased Monoslideshow was for its Flickr RSS abilities. But although I can create a slideshow that reads all the photos from a Flickr account, I simply can't find any way to get a Monoslideshow to load just the photos of a specific set. Can someone please help? No matter what I try (even the other forum suggestions), I get "no photos to display".</p>
<p>If this is actually impossible :( :( is there at least a way to have a Monoslideshow just read specific tags? I suppose I can have my clients learn how to use tags, if sets don't work... though sets would still be preferable.</p>
<p>PLEEEASE let me know!!</p>

			<![CDATA[<p>Wouldn't it be cool if you could link directly to a nominal image in your slideshow?</p>
<p>Well you *should* be able to with code similar to the following...</p>
<p>I need startWithItemID to work in conjunction with the following JavaScript</p>
<p>
<code>
function initializeMonoslideshow() {
	swf = document.getElementById("Monoslideshow");
	swf.addListener("itemLoaderComplete", "onItemLoaderComplete");
	if(window.location.hash) setTimeout("swf.togglePause();",3000)
}

function onItemLoaderComplete(event) {
	window.location.hash = event.id;
}
</code>
</p>
<p>If someone bookmarks the URL, then I want to be able to start monoslideshow with startWithItemID set to what was in the hash.</p>

			<![CDATA[<p>Hi<br />
Maybe i wasn´t describing my problem good enough - so i´ll try again.<br />
My Slideshow is being loaded in a Lotus Notes Subform/Template. This means that whenever i click at a link on my webiste the subform is being loaded and the Slideshows starts all over. This is not good because the user will never see all the images unless he stays on the same page for about 1 minute. All my images are placed in one album. I want to be able to view all images in the slideshow continously/ from beginning to end even though a user goes to another page on the website .</p>
<p>Can somebody please tell me should be added/modyfied to the code?</p>
<p>&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt;<br />
// &lt;![CDATA[<br />
var so = new SWFObject("/mpitech.nsf/monoslideshow.swf", "SOmonoSlideshow", "980", "120", "7", "#ffffff" );<br />
so.addVariable("showLogo", "false");<br />
so.addVariable("showVersionInfo", "false");<br />
so.addVariable("dataFile", "http://www.mpitech.com/mpitech.nsf/library/monoslideshow.xml");<br />
so.addParam("wmode", "transparent");<br />
so.write("monoslideshow");<br />

			<![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>
<p>I'm trying to embed the slideshow into my CSS page. I made a page.dwt and style.css that tell the index and HTML pages how to act. If i just place the .swf file in my dwt file then of course don't see any pictures. If i copy and paste a simple head/body script into my dwt then Dreamweaver gives me a lot of errors... Does the slideshow work if i do not use the script in my index.html..? So if the index gets the info from a dwt file?? Yes?? Let me know how because i'm a bit of a newbie...</p>
<p>Thanks a lot!!</p>

<p>Everything works except the next/previous and image "n/m" controls, which we don't want. As you can see, I've tried configuration for the next/previous controls for both version 1 and 2 (since I assume that anything not recognised is simply ignored), but neither set seems to be having any effect.</p>

		<title>How to make f4v/mp4 video files for Monoslideshow viewer</title>

		<description>
			<![CDATA[<p>It is almost certain most visitors to this forum will use MSS to display <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_Video'>flash videos</a>, not only pictures. Flash player supports several <a href='http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402866.html'>video formats</a>, f4v is one of them (the pigeons video clip on the Demo page at this web site is a .f4v file). </p>
<p>F4V files are encoded using the <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC'>H.264 codec</a>. With f4v file format you can harness <a href='http://www.flashvideofactory.com/test/DEMO720_Heima_H264_500K.html'>the power of H.264 video codec</a>.</p>
<p>If you have a lot of money at your disposal f4v files can be created using Adobe Media Encoder (comes with Flash CS4, and Premiere Pro) however if you want to hold on to your hard earned cash you can achieve the same results by using another excellent little (free) program called <a href='http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net'>Media Coder</a> instead.</p>
<p>I have been using Media Coder to convert .avi video clips (taken with Canon Powershot digital camera) into f4v files and I am more than happy with the results (typically 22Mb/30sec/640x480px avi file after conversion into f4v format becomes 1.8Mb file with practically the same quality - the only difference to my eyes is that f4v loads practically instantly).</p>
<p>These are Media Coder settings I use:</p>
<p>Video<br />
Format: H.246<br />
Mode: Two-Pass<br />
473Kbps<br />
Source: Autoselect<br />
Encoder: Autoselect</p>
<p>Audio<br />
Enable Audio<br />
Source: AutoSelect<br />
Encoder: FAAC<br />
Resample: Original<br />
Audio ID: 0</p>
<p>IMPORTANT: Chances are you will be tempted to use LAME MP3 Encoder - well, don't do it, you will end up with a file without sound, only video will be played back!<br />
H.264 + AAC in the MP4 container is supported. <strong>H.264 + MP3 in the MP4 container is not supported</strong>.</p>
<p>FAAC (Settings in the right box)<br />
Quality<br />
60<br />
Container: AAC</p>
<p>Container<br />
Container: Flash Video<br />
Multiplexer: Enabled (MP4Box)</p>
<p>AviSynth<br />
Use AviSynth for decoding if possible<br />
Generate Script (DirectShowSource)</p>
<p>And also folks, I must say I'm not Fabio Sonnati :) and I don't claim expertise in this matter so maybe there is a way to achieve even better rendering results, the settings I posted here are good enough for my purposes (travel video), you can always play with the settings more... by the way Media Encoder setings for Fabio's mp4 file <a href='http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3669'>can be found here</a>.</p>
<p>I hope this will be useful to some of you,</p>
<p>best regards,</p>
<p>ylw</p>
<p>Edited on December 27 , 2009...</p>
<p>A month ago I also recommended using <a href='http://www.videolan.org/vlc/'>VLC Media Player</a> however it turned out this program is a good viewer but a lousy video converter; I have found another one which is also good and very simple: it is called <a href='http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=127611'>RipBot264 v1.14.6</a> it creates very nice mp4 movies encoded with H246 which can be played with MSS.</p>

		<description>
			<![CDATA[<p>Monoslideshow 2.10 has been released. <strong>Please note that from now on, Monoslideshow requires Flash Player 10.</strong> You can download this new version in the user area for free. Changes:</p>
<p>[NEW] "greyscale" transition, blends from greyscale to color<br />
[NEW] "iris" transition, reveals an item with a circular mask<br />
[NEW] "lightRays" transition, emulates a light coming from the back of the image, moving in a specified direction<br />
[NEW] "RGBBlur" transition, blurs separate color channels<br />
[NEW] "spot" transition, looks like a powerful light source slowly dims and reveals an item<br />
[NEW] "TVDistort" transition, emulates the screen of an old TV<br />
[NEW] "zoomIn" transition, zooms in the picture in 4 passes<br />
[NEW] "zoomOut" transition, zooms out the picture in 4 passes<br />
[NEW] backgroundColor can be set to "transparent" now<br />
[NEW] added event "error" to the API, dispatched when the error screen of Monoslideshow is displayed<br />
[NEW] added API method "setCurrentTransitionAttributes" which can be called via Actionscript<br />
[NEW] added API attribute "bitmapData" which can be read out via Actionscript from the event dispatched when an item completes loading<br />
[NEW] new attribyte "type" in the navigation "transition" tag - currently "highlight" and "greyscale" are available<br />
[NEW] added "fade" mode to attribute "disappearMode" in the "controller" tag<br />
[NEW] the controller now has a "transition" element, which you can use to specify a transition when the controller flips to its navigation window state - currently "blend" and "flip" are available<br />
[NEW] the "transition" element in the "controller" tag now has a new attribute "blur", which specifies how much blur is applied during type "flip"<br />
[NEW] image color correction support via attribute "colorCorrection" in the "configuration" tag<br />
[CHANGED] Monoslideshow now requires Flash Player 10 and up<br />
[CHANGED] the "delay" attribute of the "caption" tag is now gone - there are two new attributes in the caption "transition" tag instead: "delayIn" and "delayOut"<br />
[CHANGED] the "flipTime" attribute is now implemented in the new "transition" tag of the controller and is called "time"<br />
[CHANGED] running Monoslideshow locally now gives a security error while loading external content, instead of loading local content - the fix is the same as before: add the local folder to the trusted settings in Adobe's Settings Manager<br />
[FIXED] fixed the gap when background music is looped<br />
[FIXED] fixed a bug where the the scrub bar was expanded while the controller itself was in its compressed state<br />
[FIXED] Monoslideshow is optimized in various places, a tiny bit smaller in byte size and consumes less CPU power<br />
[FIXED] various minor bugs</p>

			<![CDATA[<p>Hi, I tried everything but doesn't work. I got the site <a href='http://xmsdistribution.com'>http://xmsdistribution.com</a> that is Tumblr hosted. Then I have the Monoslideshow running on this path:<br />
<a href='http://onk.as/websites/xmsdistribution.com/slideshow/'>http://onk.as/websites/xmsdistribution.com/slideshow/</a></p>
<p>I have all the URL's (swf, js, image paths on the xms...) pointing at the absolute last URL.</p>
<p>What's wrong? I'm really frustrated. Thanks!</p>
