Is it possible to create our own custom control icons so as to further personalise the album? I have looked through the manual and this doesn't appear to be an option at the moment. If this is correct, please can we add it!?
Maybe there is an easy way to do it inside of the SWF file if I convert it to FLA - (do you allow any personal modifications of this file ?) What should I look for inside to be able to change the icons ?
I too would like the ability to be able to customise the control icons. I always test my website's for usability and compatibility with different operating systems. The most common point raised by the 10+ users testing my sites, is they find the control icons confusing, the albums icon looks like a single image button next to the thumbnail icon etc.
A simple fix would be to allow text labels below or above the control icons, with Monokai's great XML structure, MSS users could customise the text labels as they desire.
I appreciate this wouldn't satisfy every MSS user, but at least any claims of the controls being confusing would disappear.
I tested my MSS site with several users and was surprised tu realize that absolutely none of them had realized that they could choose categories. They simpley did not understand the categories Icon, not one of them... To me it is urgent to be able to change the icons, or even better, make a text menu.
I would like to a say that it would be a real benefit to have this option because of the difficulty people have with the the built in controls. I am only using the built in play pause forward and backwards because of this. I found my own way of using albums and thumbs.
Yeah, I fully agree with the folks above. I still don't have bought the applicationg (yet), but it makes my choice to buy it much easier with some labels or custom buttons. In the mean time: mikeelbon, what is your workaround to catch this problem?
I too would appreciate being able to customize an icon, or perhaps opt for it to be text. This would come in very handy. Would you consider a making a custom version (just a change in icons, and adding keyboard arrow support) for a fee?
